Professor of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics at Spiru Haret University (since 2002) and in parallel, senior researcher at National Scientific Research Institute for Labour and Social Protection (since 1995). She holds a Ph.D in Management (Labor economics) at the Academy of Economic Studies Bucharest. Coordinator, author and co-author of 20 books (manuals, studies published in the framework of the research projects). Author and co-author of over 50 articles published in academic jurnals, magazines, proceedings of international scientific events. Thematic areas of research: labor economics, flexicurity, labor market institutions, gender studies, lifelong learning, mobility, etc.

She acted as a consultant, expert for a number of  international and national agencies, such as World Bank, European Commision, National Authority for Scientific Research Romania, UEFISCDI.

Project manager/expert in more than 25 research projects financed by PNCDI-II-Parteneriate, RELANSIN, ORIZONT, NUCLEU, SECTORIAL, World Bank, Leonardo da Vinci, Phare Vet, ESF Programs. Her research broadly focuses on the economics, labour market, education.

She is member in the Scientific Commitees of national and international Journals and Conferences.
