Irene Tilikidou is a professor of Marketing at the Department of Marketing, School of Business Administration and Economics, TEI of Thessaloniki. She received a degree from this same department in 1976 and a second one from the Department of Business Administration of the “Macedonia” University in 1983. She holds a Master’s degree from the Economic department of the School of Law and Economic Science, Aristotle’s University of Thessaloniki. She received her PhD from the University of Sunderland, UK in 2001.


Her main research interests lie in the area of Ecological Marketing. She has introduced the concept of the Ecologically Conscious Consumer Behaviour in the Greek academic community. To a lesser extent she has published on the prost-modern marketing research topic. Lately, she has been working on the new and alternative issues in marketing, such as fair trade products, ethical consumption etc.

Dr Tilikidou teaches for many years the courses of Marketing Research, Applied Marketing Research and Marketing Strategy. She has published research papers in international journals and in proceedings of international conferences. She has written the book “Marketing Research – Theoretical background – Design – Implementation”, published by “sofia” editions in 2011. She is also the writer of two monographs: Post-modern Marketing: Re-view; University Studio Press (2003) and Ecological Marketing: Research Approach; “sofia” editions (2008).
